As a continuation from last week……

Are you ready for more stories about Hawaii?!?!?!? 😃🐠🌴🐬🌺🐢🌞🏄🏽♀️🍍🌼
Only this time, it will be about my last week in Hawaii in June, 2009, where I had my final performances in Maui AND where I got to do a speedy trip and visit the Big Island along the way, too!!
Remember, there was no cutting corners. Anything that presented itself while I was in Hawaii, I just said “Yes!,” or more accurately, “why not, let’s do it!!!” It was like I was possessed…🧟♀️….but in a zen-like, adventurous, trance-like way….🧝🏼♀️ because I was SO blissfully happy to be on this island where dreams really do come true!!

SO, after spending three jam-packed weeks in Oahu – – as explained in my blog last week!! – – I headed to Maui with my cast and crew!
And OF COURSE I was still hunting for every adventure and expedition that I could do!! So, again in a random order because it was quite some time ago, here is my checklist that I accomplished for my remaining time in stunning Hawaii:
✅#1: I rented a car with two castmates, Ria and Janel, and we did the Road to Hana!! It is a 64.4-mile-long stretch of highway, that connects Kahului with the town of Hana in east Maui. It is filled with breathtaking views, many beautiful waterfalls, and lots of trails to see and explore!

We definitely tried to get to all of the waterfalls that we could:

And along the drive, besides searching for waterfalls, we took advantage of any fun trails we came upon – – just to see where they would take us!

And Janel, Ria, and myself hiked 0.5 miles of the 2-mile Pipiwai Trail, through this unforgettable bamboo forest…..

To get to this amazing waterfall called Makahiku Falls!!!

Had we hiked the entire way, we would have come to the 400’ tall Waimoku Falls!!! Yes, yet another waterfall!!!!! Instead, as we were driving, we found this perfect lookout point that gave us a great view of this incredible waterfall!!!

✅#2: With Janel and Ria, we all went horseback riding through this amazing landscape at Mendes Farm!

✅#3: Janel, Ria, and I also went on a “Pride of Maui” Boat Tour that took us to Molokini, a crescent-shaped, partially submerged volcanic crater! It also took us to an area called Turtle Cove where we had the chance to go snorkeling and search for sea turtles, amongst the plentiful array of fish!

Now, I do have a story to tell you about Haleakalā National Park, with this Haleakalā Crater, of course!!! And a few more checkmarks to tell you about from my time in Maui….AS WELL AS the tale about my short-and-sweet adventure on the Big Island!!!

However, there is quite a bit more to tell and I do not wish to rush through all the details. So, I shall finish this blog post and conclude my Hawaii chronicles in PART 2 next week!

I know, I know……I’m making you wait a whole week longer for the rest…..😬 But it will be worth it, I promise!!! I still have some fantastic pictures to show you and intriguing stories to tell you – – you’re not gonna want to miss it, especially if you have been with me on this Hawaii journey for this long! 😃 (THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!!!!!!!! ❤️)
Now, before I go, allow me to leave you with a question to ponder:

A low ha, a high-pitched ha, and everything in-between!!!!!! Remember, Hawaii is a joyful and magical place so all kinds of laughter are welcomed!! 😆😁😄😅🤣😂
See you next Wednesday, everyone!!! Where my travel footprints shall continue….. 👣
