We lost our sweet boy yesterday… 💔

This shocking turn of events is also so baffling, considering that yesterday was also the day that Nobie was supposed to have his eye surgery and gain his sight back.
The timing is unfathomable to me! And I cannot believe that I jinxed the situation after my very excited post last week. 😔
To my Mom, to all the people that loved this little guy (which was everyone who met Nobie except other dogs….he was not very friendly to other dogs 98% of the time), and especially to Nobie, himself, please forgive me. In my great anticipation for Nobie’s vision to return, I did not foresee any fatal complications – nor could I have. But my last post certainly leaves a major sting and I, as we all are, am devastated.
Today, through my tears and sadness, I choose to honor Mr. Nobie, who came into our lives 10 years, 11 months, and 29 days ago.
Look at baby Nobie…….😍

It was always too cute when he stuck his bum in the air while we was IN it and playin’ with his favorite toys:

One of his favorite past-times was barking at the television. It didn’t matter whether he was fully watching the TV or sleeping soundly! If he heard any animal or any music that told Nobie that animals were on the screen, he would leap towards the TV, barking like a crazy man. THEN, he would search for ANY toy, shoe, or pillow in grabbing distance, shake it like a snarling beast, and show that TV screen animal who was BOSS. It was awesome. 📺
Here’s a short video clip for you to get a gist of what it was like. The man’s voice in the background is my Stepdad, who always instigated Nobie with “DESTROY!!” or “Puppies on TV!!” just to cause Nobie to go wild. My Stepdad loved this just as much as Nobie, which you can tell by my Stepdad’s reaction in the background. It’s a very entertaining clip!
I will never forget my time with Nurse Nobie, who kept me company during a couple of my knee incidences and always made me feel better. He was excellent at his nursing duties.

And he could be such a snuggler!!! I’ll always miss my puppy greetings and my special snuggles with this lovey dog.

My Mom is beside herself and then some because Nobie is gone – – He was her little man and they’ve been inseparable since he was born. Nobie actually claimed her from the get-go – – there was no one he loved more than his Mommy! – – but here’s an actual photo of it from 2017!

This boy loved sleeping on his favorite pillow:

OR sleeping on his back with his feet up- – with or without the added belly rubs!!

And Nobie’s main love in life was anything FOOD!!!! If you said the word “broccoli,” he came running!!!! And if you said the word, “snackie” or asked him “is it 8 o’clock?? (because 8pm was always snackie time for Nobie!!!), WELL, you just might lose an eardrum from the excitement that would erupt from Nobie!!!!
AND if I happened to be eating some food, Nobie would be right next to me, waiting patiently for nibbles along the way. He was my little food sharing buddy and I always made sure that I had a tiny piece of food that he could enjoy with me. 🥦🥕🍉🍎🍐

You KNOW that I have dozens upon dozens (upon dozens) of adorable Nobie pics and videos that I could post here today. It was always cuteness overload when he was around so it just couldn’t be helped!
However, I would like to conclude this post today with my all-time favorite video clip – – that is all of 5 seconds and it is the cutest thing EVER – – and one of my very favorite pictures that I ever took of him.
First, the video clip!!!!! This was Nobie’s 10th Birthday. We were singing him “Happy Birthday” and he actually joined in!!! I love this so much and it will forever make my heart happy.
And lastly, the photo. WOW, there are a lot that I could pick…..though this one is at the top of the list!

Dearest Nobie Scobie, you changed our lives in the very best of ways. You added immense joy, hilarious moments, a sweetness to life that can never be matched, and you shared the highest level of unconditional love that we were all so lucky to receive…

Never have truer words been spoken. The hardest part is always saying goodbye. And though his prancing footsteps are no longer heard, he will always live in our hearts and in our memories.
Thank you, Mr. Nobie, my “Noonies,” for gracing us with your happy Westie tail and being in our lives. We will forever miss you. ❤️❤️❤️
